Q: Is there any Torah source for the Mashiach rising from the dead?
A: Jewish sources do not negate the possibility of Mashiach rising from the dead. However, according to most of the sources and descriptions of the coming of Mashiach, particularly the description of the Rambam, the Mashiach is a live Jew, descended from the house of David.
