This evening we’ve gathered here together to honor Moshe Rabbeinu. Today is his yahrzeit, his day of his passing, but also it’s his birthday. The sages teach us in the gemorrah that when Haman did his lot, the pur, to see on what month it would fall in order to  execute the decree against the Jewish people, chas v’shalom, so when the lot fell on this month of Adar, Haman was very happy. Because he knew that this was the month that the leader of the Jewish people, that he is the neshama klalit, the general soul that includes all Jewish souls, Moshe Rabbeinu, this is the month that he passed away, so he thought that that would be the ideal month to be able to execute his evil plans against our people. But the sages say that he did not know that this very month is the month and the very same day that he passed away is actually the very same day that he was born. And the explanation is that even though that he was born 120 years before the day that he passed away, but one of the very very unique and special things about Moshe Rabbeinu is that he is continuously reborn, and he’s reborn on that very day, meaning that the birth is the primary, the primary power and the primary manifestation of his soul in every generation more than any other soul we are taught that ishpashtuta d’moshe b’chol dara b’dara – the extension of the soul of Moshe Rabbeinu is present in every single generation, there can’t be a generation, there can’t be a day that the Jewish people is without a leader, that we must have a leader, we must have a neshama klalit, a soul that is all inclusive of all of our souls, a soul that we can identify with, a soul that identifies with each and every one of us, a soul that loves each and every one of us, a soul that brings blessing, blessing to each and every one of us in all of the different respects of blessing: boneh, chayei u’zoneh – children, good health, parnossah tovah – all of the blessings, both the material blessings, and the corresponding spiritual blessings, all go through the channel of the all inclusive soul, the neshama klalit of the generation who is Moshe Rabbeinu….
