Yom Kippur Blessing, 5771

Yom Kippur is taking a day off from this world and its indulgences in order to visit another world, a world of peace and beauty and truth.

On Yom Kippur we dress in white. If you spin a color wheel you see white. Yom Kippur is the day to spin our color wheel, all our sins to white.

Yom Kippur is the most serious day of the year. But we wish one another to have an easy fast. Be serious but take it easy as the same time.

Yom Kippur is the tenth day of the new year. "The tenth is holy for God." The tenth sefirah is kingdom. May God be our king for ever and ever.

On Yom Kippur we ask God to forgive, pardon, atone. Forgive us for our bad deeds, pardon us for our bad words, and atone for our bad thoughts.

May we all be sealed in the Book of Life for a good and sweet year, a year that will see the coming of Mashiach and redemption for all.

After Yom Kippur is a good time to say, "well, if I didn't do teshuvah (return to God) as I should, now's the time to try again – with joy!
