Q&A: Moses the Messiah?

Q: Is it true that Moses is also considered the Mashiach?

A: It is written that Mashiach “is the first redeemer, and he is the final redeemer." In his first incarnation, Moses said to the Nation of Israel "Shema Yisrael Hashem Elokeinu Hashem Echad." (Hear o’ Israel, God is our God, God is One). Rashi explains that "Hashem Elokeinu" refers to our present situation, and "Hashem Echad" refers to the future, when "God will be One and His Name will be One." This is when all the nations will serve God "with one shoulder." The Mashiach will bring all the nations to serve God with one shoulder (together). Through this, he will add "Echad" (One, the numerical value of 13) to Moshe (Moses, 345) to complete Mashiach (358). Then we will be able to open our eyes to see in reality how God is One. (Today, we close our eyes when we say the Shema Yisrael prayer, and we say "shema" (hear) and not "re'eh" (see).
